The government invest over £320 million per year into primary schools with the objective of achieving self sustaining improvement of the quality of PE and school sport. 

In a long term vision this enables all pupils to leave school physically literate and with the knowledge, skills and motivation to equip them to lead a healthy lifestyle  and to continue to be physically active in the long run.
